It is Caucus Time!

Odd numbered years are for local elections. Democratic committee members are running caucuses all over the county. The caucus is a meeting of registered party members in your town  where candidates are selected to run for office on the Democratic line on the ballot. Caucuses are small-town democracy at its finest! You get to meet your neighbors, learn about local concerns, and perhaps be nominated to run for office. Click here to see when your town caucus is happening and here to see what offices are up for election in your town.

Local elections are crucial for building the infrastructure of the party. When you:

  • Attend a caucus

  • Support a candidate on social media

  • Put up a yard sign

  • Send a postcard

  • Make a contribution

  • Phone bank

  • Canvass door to door

you are helping to rebuild the Democratic Infrastructure in rural America, the infrastructure that is necessary to create national change.

Here are the people who have been nominated to run for office in the towns that have already had their caucuses:

Town Councilmember: Jessica Hartjen
