The Schoharie County Democrats are holding their annual FDR Banquet on Thursday, June 30, at 5:30 p.m. at Chieftans Restaurant, 584 Main Street, Cobleskill. There are so many reasons to come:

Maybe you will want to get more involved. Maybe you just want to come out for a pleasant evening with like-minded folks. Either way, you are welcome. If you have come before, a member of the committee will call you, to make sure you know the new process for buying tickets. You can also quickly and easily buy your tickets here. You can also buy tickets by bringing a check to Rich Shultes at Middleburgh Lanes, Tuesday - Saturday, 12-5 p.m.

Upcoming Elections:
— The June 28 primary is for choosing the Governor and Lt. Governor along with any local town candidates. — The August 23 primary is for US Congressional District 21, if there is more than one candidate running at that time, and for any state senate candidates. Our Senate District 51 doesn't have any candidates being primaried. — The special election date to fill the empty seat (vacated by Antonio Delgado) through December, 2022, has not been officially announced, but might also be on August 23. Stay tuned on that important race to keep a Democrat, likely Pat Ryan, in the NY-19 Congressional District until the full redistricting goes into effect in January, 2023. — November 4 Vote for Democracy in Congressional District 21! If you have any doubts about your voter status or need an absentee ballot, contact NYS Board of Elections for Schoharie County. Here is the direct link.

Online Auction:
Members of the SCDC have been busy contacting local businesses and attractions for donations to this fundraising effort. There are gift certificates to restaurants and shops, East Coast Swing dance lessons for 2 couples, a one-year membership to the Museum of Science, and tickets to the Farmer's Museum and Baseball Hall of Fame. In other words, something to excite everyone! The auction will go live on June 16th at 7 a.m. In order to bid on the items, you will need to register on the auction website here. If you register now, you'll be all set to start bidding to your heart's content. We will send out a notice once the auction goes live on June 16th at 7 a.m. |
