Sara represents the Town of Middleburgh where she lives with her three daughters, Hailey, Morgan and

Brooke, and her fur-baby Rhubarb. Sara moved to Schoharie County in 2004 after graduating from SUNY

Environmental Science and Forestry. She started serving on the Democratic Committee in 2009 and was

also an Election Inspector for the Board of Elections through 2019. After 16 years of working as the

baker at Schoharie Valley Farms, in 2020 Sara was appointed to the position of Democratic Deputy

Commissioner of the Board of Elections where she remains today.

While most of Sara’s time is spent with her children, supporting their many extracurricular activities,

Sara also has a love of serving our community through many different volunteer positions. Some of

these include the Middleburgh Library Board of Trustees, Girl Scouts, and 4-H. Her passion for volunteer

work flows over into her children, who are also seen helping out at many community events in the

county.

Despite being born in Buffalo, NY, she fondly calls Middleburgh her “hometown.” Sara is a life-long

dedicated Democrat and hopes to continue to bring awareness and support for the Democratic Party in

our beautiful Schoharie County.
