Taking on an abandoned house in Gilboa nearly 30 years ago, Sarah and her family spent weekends, holidays and summers working on the place, enjoying the contrast to their intensely urban NYC life. Though still connected to her 4th floor walk-up apartment in Brooklyn, she is a full time Gilboa resident now, bringing her passion for an inclusive, participatory democracy to the SCDC. She hopes that she can cultivate wider perspectives in the Town of Gilboa by reaching out to neighbors, and help fellow Democrats feel activated, hopeful and more engaged as a part of the political process. In these complex times, it will take all of us to help our country to embody the words in the Declaration of Independence. Teaching yoga part time in person and via ZOOM, Sarah spends a lot of her time in the garden and kitchen.
